SOHO-160 to -162 are another three archival SOHO comets discovered by Michael
Oates in C2 archival data of June 19, 21, and 23, 1998.

SOHO-152 to -155 are yet another four archival comets found in C2 data of June 02,
03, 06 and 08, 1998, by Michael Oates. This makes 7 comets discovered within 24
hours - he broke his own record!

Yet more SOHO comets!
SOHO-148 to -151 are another four archival comets found in C2 data of June 4/5,
1998, by Michael Oates.
SOHO-147 was discovered in real time C2 data of June 19, 2000, by Maik Meyer and
Michael Boschat.
SOHO-146 is yet another archival comet found by Michael Oates in C2 images of May
31, 1998.
The comets have not yet been announced officially by the CBAT.

More SOHO comets!
SOHO-145 is yet another archival comet found by Michael Oates in C2 images of May
29, 1998.
SOHO-144 was discovered in real time C2 data of June 18, 2000, by Michael Oates and
Michael Boschat.
SOHO-143 is another archival comet found in C2 data of May 28, 1998, by Michael
Oates. This comet moves parallel to SOHO-53, making it another "twin comet"
found by SOHO.
SOHO-142 was discovered in real time C2 data of June 17, 2000, by Michael Boschat
and Pavel Shkreby.
The comets have not yet been announced officially by the CBAT.

SOHO-122 through -134 received orbits and designations. Except C/2000 L2, which was
discovered by M. Boschat and C/2000 L3, discovered by M. Boschat and X. Leprette,
all comets were found by M. Oates. The designations are C/1999 J7 (SOHO),
C/1999 J8 (SOHO), C/1999 J9 (SOHO), C/1999 J10 (SOHO),
C/1999 J11 (SOHO), C/1999 K11 (SOHO), C/1999 K12 (SOHO),
C/1999 K13 (SOHO), C/1999 K14 (SOHO), C/1999 K15 (SOHO),

- New Discovery!:
SOHO-135, a Kreutz fragment, was discovered today by Michael Boschat, Maik Meyer and
Xavier Leprette in C2 images. While searching older C2 data of 1998 Derek Hammer
discovered SOHO-136 and SOHO-137 in data of May 4, and 6, 1998. The comets have not
yet been announced officially by the CBAT.

- New Discovery!:
Another 5 sungrazing comets have been discovered by Michael Oates in C2 data of May
1999. The count is now up to 134 comets discovered by SOHO! The comets have not yet
been announced officially by the CBAT.
Addendum: Michael Boschat co-discovered the SOHO comet of June 10, 2000.

Michael Boschat discovered SOHO-128 in C2 data of June 09, 2000. One day later
Michael Oates, Xavier Leprette and others discovered SOHO-129 also in C2 data. The
comets have not yet been announced officially by the CBAT.

Michael Oates found yesterday another 4 sungrazing comets in C2 data of May 1999
and one in C2 data of June 3, 2000. 6 comet discoveries within 24 hours - a record!
This makes SOHO-123 to -127! The comets have not yet been announced officially by

- The LONEOS
team discovered an asteroidal object with an interesting orbit on June 01, 2000.
The asteroid 2000 LK shows a sun-near perihelion of about 0.1 AU and with an
eccentricity of about 0.95 an aphelion near Jupiters orbit. (MPEC 2000-L14)

- SOHO-120 and 121 have received orbits and designations: C/1998 V1 (SOHO)
